Becoming a Global-Ready Teacher is a transformative professional development course designed to prepare educators for success in international and globally oriented learning environments.
As international schools continue to expand worldwide, there is a growing demand for teachers who understand global education standards, demonstrate cultural intelligence, and teach with flexibility, reflection, and professionalism. This course equips local teachers no prior international experiences with the competencies required to meet those expectations confidently.
Over four weeks, participants explore the foundations of international education, global teaching methodologies, and leading curriculum models, including IB, Cambridge, American, and bilingual systems. The course also places strong emphasis on professional identity, communication, and career readiness within the international education sector.
Through a self-paced structure, educators engage with videos, readings, quizzes, and practical portfolio tasks that translate theory into real-world teaching and career application. Each module contributes to the development of a TBB Global Teaching Portfolio, culminating in a capstone that demonstrates readiness for global classrooms.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the principles and expectations of international education
- Apply globally aligned teaching competencies and inquiry-driven practices
- Design lessons that meet international standards
- Strengthen their professional identity as global educators
- Develop a competitive CV, cover letter, and teaching portfolio
- Approach international job applications and interviews with confidence
Upon completion, participants are awarded the TBB Certificate in Global Teaching Competencies, recognising their preparedness to teach, grow, and lead in global education contexts.
